The knives come out

There were those who did not accept the true word and they had to be dealt with else the be doomed to hellfire forever more. And, so there was sent amongst them a bringer of the true word, a preacher and apostle, who would entreat them to save themselves by accepting the truth and the diety of the true sovereign. And, mighty were this preacher's words until these unbelievers all gave a great cheer and came forth unto him, and, heartened by this show of acceptance, the preacher spread his arms in welcome only to find that these heathen and unclean ones were each bearing a knife which they then brought out to pierce the very soul of the this preacher who they called a perverse harlot after which they threw his lifeless body over the wall of their city and caused all the true believers in their midst to find no mercy, after which they held a great feast upon a fire lit from the book of truth that they had espoused.
