Episode CMXIV - The Red Biters

The attack of these beasts was sudden and devastating as they proved far more clever than our best minds, leaping upon us and digging their small teeth into our necks to inject the stinging serum with their sharp tongues. As this poison potage set into us, we writhed in unimaginable agony, feeling its stink in every fiber of our being. Prayer and submersion proved incapable of allaying our misery and our wounds lingered for days until, after turning bilious green, the stinking scabs fell off, leaving brown, curdled marks on our flesh.
