Episode MMXXV – Sorceress

In the night she came, completely shameless as the others and seeming to be even more naked in her brazen disrespect for the laws that dictate modesty for women who would not bring dishonor to their family. And, it appeared that finally, this was our executioner, waving as she did a mighty sword, keeping a fierce beast at close hand and bringing with her a basket which could only be for severed heads. We beseeched her to come to her senses and submit to a court of elders who would teach her to submit to the rule of our prophet’s word and accept lashes for her immoral ways. But, she would have nothing but laughter and swinging of her sword until finally she bade us to close our eyes and to fear nothing as what could be better than to meet our fate and perhaps enjoy the pleasures of martyrdom? Our screams would be for naught. Would this then be the end for our brave and stricken pilgrims, beheading at the hands of a shameless daughter of heathen ways?
